Abstract

The article is devoted to the life and work of Aza Alibekovna Taho-Godi, an outstanding philologist and philosopher of our time, and a major specialist in the field of classical philology. Attention is paid to her relationship with A.F. Losev which were not of a family-domestic nature as it is sometimes imagined based on the fact that they had a registered marriage. From the point of view of family and everyday life their marriage was formal. In fact, it was a strong spiritual union of two great personalities, major researchers and experts in ancient philosophy, philology, mythology, and culture in general here and now.
Much attention is paid to A.F. Losev and his long complex life, his work, as well as the life and work of A.A. Tahoe-Godi. In fact, it is not possible to write about her and not to write about him. The principles of pedagogical activity of A.F. Losev and A.A. Tahoe-Godi are shown. Briefly, but quite meaningfully, it is said about the elitological views of Aza Alibekovna.
