Abstract

This paper provides a systematic analysis of the Greater Caucasus in the elitist dimension. The authors tried to present the elite palette of this region in all its diversity and completeness. The work has a significant clarifying addition - modern elitological comparative studies. This means that the comparison of political elites follows a certain “formula”, and the proposed model has a universal character within the framework of this study. This feature gives the whole work its unique character.
The Greater Caucasus has always been one of the key regions of the Eurasian space, and played a significant role in the history of the empires that existed here, which in turn determined the face of their era. Solving many issues, the problem rests on the activities of specific elite groups and communities. The theme of elites becomes a key one in history. Its importance is evidenced not only by historical chronicles, but also by the realities of political modernity. It is necessary to know exactly what the ruling elite groups and their leaders think and do about this in order to understand the essence of certain ongoing political processes,
