Abstract

Researchers rate the current state of American political elites as an identity crisis, as a split in unity within the ruling class. This crisis is taking place against the backdrop of the fading global leadership of the United States, when it is crammed with the nascent young Asian giants (China and India) in the sphere of economy, politics and science. Under these conditions, the political American elites were in a state of crisis of strategic planning - their previous projects did not bring them the desired results, and they did not have time to formulate a new plan. The situation was exacerbated by the internal split of the American elites, who could not reach consensus and agree on fundamentally important issues. The split of American elites was evidence of their internal weakness and limited ability to plan strategically. The 2020 presidential election only confirmed this sad diagnosis for them. All these destructive processes take place against the background of increased falsification (fake news), which further destroys from the inside the political unity of the ruling class in the country. The work is devoted to the analysis of the qualitative state of American political elites and their leaders.
